A sample case

”Rabbi/Cantor S. Roth” (an assumed name) inserted 3 chanting tracks:

1. A recording of Rabbi/Cantor Roth’s High Holidays Torah and Haftarah cycle, in a tropes’ melody, which combines the best features among the various systems.

2. Recording from previous year of an aging member (Mr. E. Ragvi) who read a passage for many years in a melody that demands singing microtones and a specific Hebrew pronunciation dialect. This represents a tradition for quite few families in the congregation.

3. Since the above mentioned Mr. Ragvi’s Hebrew pronunciation dialect is not clear to some in the younger generation who wishes to prolong at least that melodic tradition, his daughter Ora who is well versed in singing micro-tonal music, provided a recording in that style with standard Hebrew pronunciation.

Also, two teaching tracks to the Book of Jonah were inserted:

1. A recording of class taught by Rabbi S. Roth about the Book of Jonah, meant as a souvenir for participants, and to entice volunteer High Holidays readers for the book of Jonah and for other services.

2. A teacher’s dramatic reading in Spanish of the book of Jonah to be provided with the program on the school computers, since there are number of students whose mother tongue is Spanish.
